AIM® for BlackBerry® smartphones

Here's How to Access AIM® on Your BlackBerry® smartphone:


AT&T Mobility

    1. Launch the Media Net browser from your BlackBerry®
    2. Select 'More Categories' -> 'Mail & Messaging' -> Mobile IM

    3. Follow the instructions to download
    4. Select the IM application on your device home screen and select 'AIM' as your IM service

Sprint

    1. Launch the web browser from your device home screen
    2. If you are on the Bookmarks page, then skip to step 4
    3. If you are not at the Bookmarks page, hit the menu button and select Bookmarks
    4. Select the bookmark titled "Install AOL Instant Messenger" in the Links Folder

Sprint Note:
Your Blackberry phone may support a new version of AIM. At the bottom of the AIM page that opens from the bookmark link, look for a link to "Download AIM 2.0." The devices that support version 2.0 are listed on that page.

T-Mobile

Select the IM application on your device home screen and select 'AIM' as your IM service. If you do not have an Instant Messaging folder on your device main screen, then follow these steps to see if AIM is available for your device.

1. Launch the web browser from your device home screen
2. If you are on the Bookmarks page, then skip to step 4
3. If you are not at the Bookmarks page, hit the menu button and select Bookmarks
4. Select the bookmark titled "Install Instant Messenger" in the Links Folder

Attention Cincinnati Bell AIM® Users:

Effective February 18, 2008, Cincinnati Bell and AOL no longer offer access to the AOL IM service through the Cincinnati Bell network. There is no plan to provide this service in the future. Should you have any problems with your billing or cellular service, please contact Cincinnati Bell. We apologize for any inconvenience.
